WCPI07: THE FIRST WORLD CONGRESS ON PATHOLOGY INFORMATICS August 2007

The first World Congress on Pathology Informatics to be held in Brisbane  on 16-17 August 2007 will provide an insightful perspective on the leading issues in pathology informatics by combining a geographic view of technology application together with a series of invited presentations from world experts in the critical technology fields.  Professor Michael Legg will present an update on pathology informatics in Australasia including information on the development of the ABCR. Dr David Ellis (ABCR Clinical Reference Group Member) will also present a paper on structured reporting in lymphoproliferative disease.

NATIONAL ROUND TABLE ON STRUCTURED PATHOLOGY REPORTING June 2007

The Cancer Institute NSW will host the National Round Table on Structured Pathology Reporting on 28 June 2007. The meeting will be facilitated by Professor Michael Legg. Dr David Ellis (ABCR Clinical Reference Group Member) and Dr Cambell Tiley (ABCR Project Management Group Member) will be attending and presenting information.

HEALTH INFORMATICS SOCIETY AUSTRALIA MEETING 2006

The Australian Blood Cancer Registry was included in a workshop session at the annual conference of the Health Informatics Society of Australia held in Sydney in August 2006. A media launch was held in conjunction with one of the workshops which was well attended.
